Finally spring is here, time to come out of my dark studio, and still-life paintings! Starting with this painting, I am planning to work on a few landscapes. I managed to take some progress shots. Hope you enjoy!

Finally painted my favorite Terracotta vase! Every time I go to India, I definitely make a trip to the West Bengal emporium to pick up a few of these beautiful clay artifacts, made by the potters of rural Bengal.  Surely I'll make more of these soon.

I  made this painting earlier with oils and always wondered how it would come out in pastels. Finally got around to doing it. You can see the earlier painting here. I also took some progress shots this time.
