Begum's Garden
| Pastel on paper 18" X 24" Photo courtesy : Devajyoti Sarkar |
Bani Begum garden, located on the outskirts of Aurangabad, is known for its beautiful surroundings and comforting ambience. I have painted it from a beautiful photograph taken by my friend Devajyoti. I really like this composition. As you can see, the banner for my blog is it's pen and ink drawing.

Nauset Marsh Trail
Pastel on paper 8" X 10"
|
We recently went to Cape Cod on a family vacation. The walk around the Nauset Marsh Trail in Eastham was definitely the high point of my trip. I took plenty of pictures, and am hoping to make tons of paintings to help preserve my memory. This is the first one, I have decided to paint in the sequence the trail unravelled around the mash. Hope you all will follow the trail with me. :)

Finally spring is here, time to come out of my dark studio, and still-life paintings! Starting with this painting, I am planning to work on a few landscapes. I managed to take some progress shots. Hope you enjoy!

The painting started out with a small study shown below. I quite liked it, and decided to try a bigger size.
