Finally spring is here, time to come out of my dark studio, and still-life paintings! Starting with this painting, I am planning to work on a few landscapes. I managed to take some progress shots. Hope you enjoy!

 The painting started out with a small study shown below. I quite liked it, and decided to try a bigger size.

Another view of the Verona Lake, can't seem to get enough of it! :) I especially like the tall evergreens towering over the beautiful fall foliage.

I love how these tall  Pine tress stand out along the walking trail of Verona Lake. It's one of my favorite spots there.  It's amazing how depending on how light falls on them, they offer something different every time. I will sure try to capture the effect of changing lights on them in my future paintings.

It was so much fun doing the small landscape that I decided to make another one. This is also from a photograph taken by my friend Devajyoti in Tibet, probably at the same location as the previous one.

I just had about an hour to do a small sketch or a study, so painted this from a photograph taken by my friend Devajyoti in Tibet.  The place looks so beautiful and tranquil, wish I can go there some day!
